About Friends of Bridgeview
The experience your child receives from the Bridgeview Montessori School provides them with a "love of learning". Although we believe that families bear the primary responsibility for financing education, we do currently offer a need-based financial aid program. Our financial aid program exists t
o help assure that any admitted student with demonstrated need will have the opportunity to attend the Bridgeview Montessori School. It is also an important factor in contributing to the economic diversity of the student population.
The Friends of the Bridgeview School is a non-profit organization, which exists as a completely separate entity from the school itself. All school parents are encouraged to become active members of our organization and participate in planning and managing the activities which we undertake in order to raise the funds necessary to provide valuable financial aid to Bridgeview students.
We are a member of the School and Student Service for Financial Aid (SSS), which assists independent schools in determining a family's financial need. The Report of Family Contribution (RFC), which is computed by SSS is reviewed by our Financial Aid Committee and serves only as a guideline in making financial aid decisions. The RFC report does not bind the Friends of the Bridgeview School committee to any specific award. The Financial Aid Committee consists of one member of the Board of Directors of the Friends of the Bridgeview School, one third party educator, and the Director of Admissions for the Bridgeview Montessori School.
